Yesterday was a non-recovery day for sure. I had not been running since last Sunday at Tahoe so decided to start the day off with a slow run (20 min.). Then at around 2pm was sick of watching nonsense on TV and went for a mountain bike at the local trail knowing that I had another ride already planned for that evening. I ended up riding two loops very fast and it made me feel kind of sick. I actually think it was dehydration and not eating enough. Anywho, then I ate like a champ for dinner and even squeezed in some snacks before the night ride with my 24hr race team. We headed out right at dark and rode 20 miles at a 14mph average...we were killing it! After the ride we finished it off with a nice refreshing beer. Not bad in a days work. Total ascending was 2613 and mileage was 35. This weekend we head to the Austin area for 24 hrs of Rocky Hill. It should be a good time and I look forward to a few weeks off before my next race.
