Training Update/ Happy Turkey Day

It has been a crazy month at work with inconsistent hours and its just plain hard to get a good routine down to train. What I normally do this time of year is anything but routine anyway. Its time to just have fun and still work out hard but make it far from scheduled. Some weeks I run more than bike and then I switch depending on what I have time for. Running is easy because you don't have to get all of your gear together and drive to a specific location. My swimming has been non-existent for about a month now due to my lifting routine. I find it very difficult to lift weights and swim, and will get back into my swim routine in Jan. Also, I usually start my hard core training in Dec., but will start a month later because XTERRA is such a long season I burn out come time for Nationals. I want that to be a different story next year. I probably wont do my first race until the end of May or beginning of June. The past few seasons I have raced as early as the end of March and always in April. Next year will be different for sure, and I hope to have huge gains and explore new racing territory. As for today being Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a great Holiday and remember why you are thankful, or why you should be.
