Quality New Years Eve Training

I got some good training in today with our unusually warm weather...60's. Started out with some fun riding on the local single track (Smith Lake Bike Trails) and then came home and did some hill repeats. According to a reputable Pro XTERRA athlete you should accumulate 30,000 feet of climbing a week. Sounds a bit steep but I am going to give it a try. I don't consider myself a weak climber but I am sure I could use some help. The only issue is that its extremely flat here... riding 15 miles of trail and then the hill repeats I did today only added up to 2941ft... 27,059ft to go...geesh! I am looking forward to see if I can fit it in and consider it a personal challenge. I am really looking forward to the 6 hr race in GA that I will be riding solo... it will be my first long solo race so I am really excited. Stay tuned to see if I make it to the big 30,000!!!
