My upgrades are almost done to my race bike before the season officially starts. I just put some XTR pedals on last night to save some more rotational weight... not a whole lot...but why not. The last two changes I plan on making are the cranks and then the rear shock. I would like to install a Bontrager XXX Lite crank which weighs in at(bottom bracket and all) 500 grams. Then the rear shock... a Fox RP23 which has pro-pedal, unlike my Manitou Swinger. There is hardly any pedal bob with the Manitou but if you really dig in it tends to give where a pro-pedal shock wouldn't. All in all when I am done with upgrading I will have shaved a little over 3 pounds off of the stock machine. Some would say that you should just lose 3 pounds... but those who say that also don't know what they are talking about. It doesn't seem like much but when you have to make that dreadful climb at Lake Tahoe...its all worth it. Looking forward to kicking some @$$ this year...PEACE!!!
