Well, it is unfortunate to those who really dont know me. I just want to put this out there for someone.
Why do I do this sport?
Sure, it would be great to turn pro one day, but I am in it for the fun and to see what I am capable of. At worlds I realized the human body is capable of remarkable things. Conrad Stoltz is in his late 30's I think the announcer said 37 to be exact. Most people hit their endurance prime at this age and the past 5 years or so I have noticed a definite improvement in my racing. The nerves settle faster, I dont have as many butterfly's which makes it easier to eat breakfast before a race:) Its all for the fun people...some that know me really well know that I get competitive, but deep down before each event I pretty much know how I measure up. If I wasn't having fun, well, it would be another job. Crazy enough, I already have a JOB, and its a pretty good one.
That's it for now, I would like to thank my family and sponsors with all the support this year...most recently GoPro Cameras for the sweet HD camera. I will be taking some good videos in the near future. I'm looking forward to the off-season training, and the quality Holiday time I can spend with the family.
Jonathan, out!
