Slump?
OK...I have hit a slump in the past two days...just cant get motivated to train as hard as I have been...I may be over doing it a bit, or it might be because I am having some sinus issues. Not sure really... I took the morning off to reflect on what I have been doing, and I am going to reorganize my training this afternoon. I have been going all out the past 3 weeks and as scheduled this should ba a recovery week anyway but I was hoping to bring it down a notch without the slump. It could be a lack of sleep too...I have been running on about 6hrs of sleep a night but cant do anything to fix that. My work schedule is too demanding to get more & get the training in that I want. I am going to have to figure something out before I loose anymore motivation. In one of my cycling books I found a section talking about increasing the size of your legs and how important it is in cycling to have large powerful legs. Also, it talks about the relationship of having larger muscles to easily put out the power you need. In the next 4 weeks I am going to focus on this and follow the plan they put out there for me. Basically I will turn down my upper body workouts to only 2 times a week, run a little less, and do weight training everyday with my legs...2 weeks on one day off, and then 2 weeks on. Sounds tough but I want to do it, so thats pretty much it. Consider it done!
